Title of biome: Tropical Rainforest.
Introduction: The name of our wonderful biome is called the Tropical Rain forest. This biome is found near the Equator, in Africa, South America , and Southern Asia. It is hot and humid with all the rain that falls through out the day.
Definition: The tropical Rainforest is a forest of tall trees in a region of year-round warmth.
Map of biome:
the highlighted color is the area where the tropical rain forest is present.
Biotic Factors (animals, plants, algae, etc. living things):
The orangutan, African Forest Elephant, Chimps, Harpy Eagle, Toucan, and the Dawn bat are found in this area
Bamboo, Coconut Tree, Mangrove forests, Jambu and Bougainvillea are ust a few plants found in this area.
Abiotic Factors (rain, wind, temperature, location, soil quality, seasons): The rain Forest gets about 50 to 260 inches a year. The temp. in the rain forest rarely gets higher then 93*f or drops below 68*F. The Rain forest is found near the equator; so very warm humid climates. There are three seasons, the brief season of less rain, monsoonal areas and a dry season. The soil quality is quite poor. Rapid disintegration doesn't help give the nutrients to the soil.
Additional Info. (any famous landmarks, famous types of your biome ex- Sahara Desert, anything well-known in biome, how is biodiversity, etc. make it interesting!!) In Brazil the Amazon River runs through the forest. People go see the Igassu Falls, the Tamar Project and Salvidor. Many parts of the Rainforest are discoverd, and many native tribes still carry on their way of living like they have for hundreds of years.
